Just watched the MTV video music awards. Guns N' Roses had a surprise performance at the end, but really now it's just Axl and four guys who weren't original members. They have a guitar player named Buckethead who literally has a KFC bucket on his head. Not sure if that's supposed to be mocking Slash, but it's just not the same without him. Triumph the insult comic dog was there too. Also, Eminem was ready to hit Moby for booing him when he won, which was amusing. Then the crowd started booing Eminem. Christina Aguliera even presented the award to him. Classic.

Summer has disappeared. It's another rainy day, and I had to get up early to go to work for this dumb evaluation. I start school Tuesday so the last few days of vacation look like they're gonna be wet and boring. Still haven't gone to the feast, but at this point I don't really care about going. It sucks every year and is basically a huge meeting place for stereotypical Brooklynites. All you do is walk up and down the 10 block span and see the people you couldn't stand in high school. Plus I'm always hearing about gang stabbings and people getting hustled by the carnies. Maybe next year.

What a crappy day. Rain on and off. Had to move furniture. Got a haircut. Friggin humid. The 18th Ave. feast started a few days ago, so I'll probably go sometime this week. Unless it never stops raining.

It's amazing how peaceful a house can be with no sister or mom home for a few days...

Yesterday I was at the Warped Tour on Randall's Island. Basically it's on a huge open field and so dust gets kicked up everywhere and you come home feeling very dirty (literally). I walked around all day with my friends seeing bands play and going to all these different booths they have there selling stuff and giving out free goodies. Plus it was really hot and I got sunburned. They charge ridiculous prices for food and water. Bands I did see include: Thursday (though I missed half their set because every band plays 30 minutes and they started before I got in), Flogging Molly, Ozma, Bad Religion, NOFX, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, MxPx, New Found Glory, Finch, No Use For a Name, Reel Big Fish, Quarashi, and Good Charlotte. Afterwards a bunch of us went to this Japanese restaurant in the Village called Dojo. The End.

On CNN today, they were talking about John Rocker again because he called a gay couple "fruitcakes." Why does anyone care anymore? I don't. I guess that war we're in is getting too boring for the media.

Had to work the morning shift today and then went to the Brooklyn Cyclones game tonight. They finally won a game I went to, 3-2. Tomorrow night I'll be at the Less Than Jake show at Roseland.
