So tomorrow I'm going to Philadelphia with some of my friends to see the Bouncing Souls and Anti-Flag. Should be fun.

K-Rock radio actually did something cool for a change. They just leaked the "new" Nirvana song "You know you're right." It was never released and is gonna be on a box set coming out. Luckily, I taped it :)

If you haven't seen me in a while, you don't know I've had a goatee growing for a few weeks. Click here to see what it looks like.

Today on the train, this guy sitting next to me looked like he was giving me the finger for 30 minutes. It kind of stuck out from the rest of his hand and was pointing down. Probably the least strange thing you ever see on the subway.

So this is September 11th. I'm just hoping to get through this day without any bad news. Commuting to Manhattan on a 50-minute train ride is never fun, but it felt like I was going back in time or something this morning. Back to September 11, 2001. That day was so hectic and we know so much more now. The amount of news coverage is another thing upsetting me, though in a different way. It's way too much; the media is totally milking this thing for all it's worth. It's despicable. So many people trying to capitalize on innocent deaths. I saw this kid in the subway station yesterday trying to sell flag pins to people getting off the train. Made me want to throw up.

The first week of school is in the books. It was only 3 days, but cut me some slack. Teachers seem ok, shouldn't be too bad I don't think. I saw my friend coming out of the school newspaper office as I was going into the room across from it, and he got me to sign up for The Ticker. I signed up in freshman year and those lazy asses never contacted me, yet they're always trying to get people to write. Anyway, if I actually hear from them I'll be writing about humor or music or something like that. The articles regarding school news are usually pretty boring, so I refuse to do that.

This sucks. Tomorrow I start school and it hasn't stopped raining all weekend. I didn't even go to the beach once this summer. I can't believe 9/11 was already a year ago. I'm almost afraid to start school, thinking something else might happen this year. Going in that day is gonna be tough. A lot of people will be on edge, including me.
